Pago De Los Capellanes 2021 Joven Ribera del Duero
This fresh and vibrant style of wine is referred to as their "Joven" or "Roble". Made from 100% Tempranillo, it is naturally fermented in stainless steel tanks, aged in French oak for only 5 months and then bottled and released for enjoyment.
The firm, chalky tannins are moderated here by juicy dark berry fruit character. Rocky minerality adds a terrific counterpoint. In the mouth, the texture is full, elegant, long lasting and velvety.
Pago de Los Capellanes has been one of our best-selling Ribera del Duero producers for many years. Their wines routinely score well into the 90 point range and every vintage is amazing. They sell out in our shops quickly when we can get them, so we recommend buying a few bottles at a time.
