Rueda

The Rueda wine region, nestled in the heart of Castilla y León in northwestern Spain, is renowned for its exceptional white wines, particularly those made from the Verdejo grape. This picturesque region enjoys a continental climate that endows its wines with a distinctive character—crisp, aromatic, and often with a delightful hint of bitterness that makes them excellent companions to a variety of dishes. Rueda's winemaking tradition dates back to the 11th century, and today, it continues to blend its rich history with modern techniques to produce refreshing wines that are enjoyed both locally and around the world.  When Spaniards order a "blanco" in Spain, it's often simply understood that it might be a Verdejo from Rueda.
