Spain is not the only country that enjoys a good tin of mussels spiked with a bit of vinegar. Da Morgada is an under-appreciated jewel of a producer from Portugal. Lovely stuff.

Love it! I am from the Basque Country...so Iike it a lot!. It is a flavorful, cured thin sausage with a slightly spicy kick and a rich, smoky taste. Its tender texture makes it perfect for grilling or frying (brunch with eggs!). Ideal for tapas, it's a must-try for fans of bold charcuterie.

I'm trying to consume more SMASH - salmon, mackerel, anchovies, sardines and herring - and purchased a variety of these tinned, mostly small predatory fish, from a variety of purveyors. This tuna, though not a member of the above group of fishes, has proved to be one of my favorites, aside from the sardines with lemon.
