"The dark red 2022 El Porrón de Lara has a ripe and heady nose, despite the 13.5% alcohol on the label. It faithfully reflects the warm and dry season, with notes of dark cherries, herbs and spices, notes of soy sauce and a touch of iodine. There is some earthy rusticity here, with some dusty tannins and a dry finish. It's a red for food. It was bottled after 11 months in used oak barrels" 91 Pts, Wine Advocate
