I’m loving this Rioja right now. It’s not your typical Rioja; it’s got this really fresh, modern energy. It’s a mix of red and even a few white grapes. Tempranillo, Garnacha, Viura, and Malvasia, all co-fermented, which gives it this amazing complexity. You get smoky blackberry, a little pepper spice, and it’s super clean and balanced. Organic, minimal intervention, and aged in concrete and used barrique. It’s thoughtful winemaking that really shows in the glass. A must-try, modern twist on a classic Rioja.
