Manzanilla is lightest and driest of sherries. This has the disctinct note of sea salt and brine, a touch of blanched almond and great balance. Have this with a plate of shrimp or clams and you'll be able to picture yourself on the beach in southern Spain.

While a tad on the pricy side, they were shipped quicky and went into my pasta with calamari in a squid ink sauce which was hugely successful. The recipe is a keeper for me.

Delicious wine consumed on a Friday end of Summer evening. I don’t have the lexicon to truly do it justice so simply try it. Nicest Portuguese wine in a while!
