So, true confessions. Our grocery buyer loves Spain and loooves tinned fish, but she's not Spanish. Her father is Peruvian. So when this line came across her desk... well she had to try it. And she liked it. Then our wine buyer (and resident super-taster) had a can for lunch and did a little happy dance. So yeah. These are good. Very good.
Meaty medallions of mackerel are naturally smoked over native "palo diablo" wood for 8 hours, seasoned with pink Maras salt (which is literally collected just down the road from her family's home in the Urubamba Valley - check out her vacation pic), and packed in extra-virgin olive oil.
