The 2018 Druida is a ripe, fleshy expression of Dão—bright ruby in color, with aromas of cherry, violet, black pepper, cinnamon, and a touch of herbal freshness. On the palate, it carries the hallmark elegance and structure of the region, framed by silky tannins and a natural sense of balance.

This was the wine that launched winemaker Jorge Mira do Ó’s personal project back in 2012, and it continues to embody his vision: a pursuit of harmony through respect for nature and minimal intervention in the cellar. Inspired by the ancient Celtic Druids, who sought equilibrium with the natural world, Druida remains a testament to both power and finesse, and to the timeless character of Portugal’s Dão region. 

The vineyards from which Druida is made rise from 500 meters above sea level in the granite soils of the right bank of the No. Here, the low yielding vines are about 30 years old and produce grapes of high quality of the grape varieties Touriga Nacional and Jaen.
